Bomij

Bo-mij is a Dutch chain store that serves the construction and industrial sectors, positioning itself as a supplier of tools, machines, hardware and building materials. Its own website greets visitors with the line "Bo-mij, voor bouw en industrie" (Bo-mij, for construction and industry), making clear that its core audience is professional tradespeople and industrial buyers rather than general consumers. The assortment spans machines, fasteners (bevestigingsmiddelen), tools (gereedschappen), ironmongery (ijzerwaren), building materials (bouwmaterialen), hanging and locking hardware (hang- en sluitwerk), personal protective equipment (PBM), chemicals (chemie), electrical supplies (elektra), fitwork, site and cabin furnishing (keet- en bouwplaatsinrichting), lengths and profiles, climbing equipment (klimmateriaal) and handy and gift articles. The company operates both physical branches and an online shop. Its website lists branches in Amsterdam (at 1e Oosterparkstraat and Spaklerweg), Groningen, Heerhugowaard, Hoorn, Leeuwarden and Zwaag, indicating a footprint concentrated in the northern and western parts of the Netherlands. Alongside its own product range, the site features a "Shop op merk" (shop by brand) section and highlights branded goods such as Makita cordless tools and batteries, Nemef locks (part of Assa Abloy) and Qblades oscillating saw blades. Bo-mij also promotes a catalogue and a newsletter, and offers customer login and account registration, which are typical features of a business-to-business oriented trade supplier. In its own marketing language, Bo-mij claims to be "de goedkoopste online tool-shop van Nederland" (the cheapest online tool shop in the Netherlands), a positioning that emphasizes price competitiveness in the Dutch tool and hardware retail market. The company presents itself as a broad-line distributor: rather than specializing in a single category, it combines power tools, consumables, safety equipment, chemicals and construction materials in one offering, which is characteristic of a builders' merchant or technical trade supplier. Beyond the basic identity as a Dutch chain store, public information about Bo-mij is limited. Its Wikidata entry describes it simply as a "Dutch chain store," and no founding date, founder, ownership structure or listing status is provided in the available evidence. The brand is active, with a functioning e-commerce site and multiple named branches, but further corporate details such as parent company, revenue or exact founding year are not established by the sources at hand and are therefore left unspecified here.

Bo-mij is a Dutch chain store serving the construction and industrial trades. Its own website presents the brand under the tagline "Bo-mij, voor bouw en industrie," and its Wikidata entry classifies it simply as a "Dutch chain store." The available evidence does not record a founding date, founder or corporate history narrative, so the following account is limited to what the sources establish about the brand's identity, scope and operations. The company operates as a multi-branch retailer and online supplier. Its website lists physical branches in Amsterdam (at 1e Oosterparkstraat and Spaklerweg), Groningen, Heerhugowaard, Hoorn, Leeuwarden and Zwaag. This branch network places Bo-mij primarily in the northern and western Netherlands, with a concentration of locations in North Holland and the northern provinces. In addition to these physical locations, the company runs an e-commerce operation at bomij.nl, where customers can log in, register as customers, and browse a broad catalogue. The product range is that of a broad-line technical trade supplier or builders' merchant. Categories advertised on the site include machines, fasteners, tools, ironmongery, building materials, hanging and locking hardware, personal protective equipment, chemicals, electrical supplies, fitwork, site and cabin furnishing, lengths and profiles, climbing equipment, and handy and gift articles. This breadth indicates that Bo-mij targets professional users who need to source many different categories of construction and industrial supplies from a single supplier. Alongside its own assortment, Bo-mij resells established brands. The website features a "Shop op merk" (shop by brand) section and highlights products such as Makita cordless drills, chargers and batteries, Nemef locks (part of Assa Abloy), and Qblades oscillating saw blades. The site also promotes a catalogue and a newsletter, and offers customer account features, which are consistent with a business-to-business oriented trade supplier. In its marketing, Bo-mij claims to be "de goedkoopste online tool-shop van Nederland" (the cheapest online tool shop in the Netherlands), positioning itself on price competitiveness within the Dutch tool and hardware retail market. The brand is currently active, with a functioning website and multiple named branches. However, the evidence available does not establish the company's founding year, founder, ownership or parent company, listing status, or financial details, and those elements are therefore not asserted here.
