The tasks performed by bremenports are stipulated in agency agreements concluded with the then Bremen's Senator for Economic Affairs, Labour and Ports. These tasks break down into regular tasks and special tasks provided on behalf of the Special Asset Ports, as well as third-party business organised as a private-economy company.
