Camden Town

Camden Town Brewery is a British craft beer brand whose founder, Jasper Cuppaidge, started Camden because he wanted beer to be better, using the best possible ingredients and brewing with no shortcuts, served fresh. The brand's webshop presents beers including Hells Lager, Pale Ale, Eazy IPA and the Arch 55 range, along with merchandise such as the Camden Jacket and Camden Hells Pour Black T-Shirt. Its history traces back to The Horseshoe pub, opened in 2006 in Hampstead, and to Jasper's first batch of beer brewed in 2007 as a birthday present for his mother, Patricia, based on a recipe from his grandfather Laurie McLaughlin's brewery McLaughlin's in Rockhampton, Australia.

Camden Town Brewery's founder, Jasper Cuppaidge, started Camden because he wanted beer to be better, for people to fall in love with beer again and appreciate drinking clean, crisp, fresh beer. The brand states it uses the best possible ingredients and brews the right way with no shortcuts, served fresh. Its history began when Jasper missed his flight back home to Australia and ended up collecting glasses in a London pub. He later spotted a 'For Sale' sign on an old pub, called the estate agent's number, bought the pub, painted it white and opened it as The Horseshoe in 2006, aiming to serve good food, wine and beer to the people of Hampstead. In 2007, the first batch of beer Jasper brewed was a birthday present for his mother, Patricia, in honour of his grandfather, Laurie McLaughlin, who had owned a brewery called McLaughlin's in Rockhampton, Australia; the cask ale was based on one of his grandfather's old recipes. Jasper then brewed more batches, and Mac's beer became constantly on tap at The Horseshoe and popular enough that he started selling it to friends who owned pubs.
