Kindernetzwerk e.V. is the umbrella organisation of family-oriented self-help and represents the interests of chronically ill and disabled children, adolescents, young adults and their families. Its stated goal is to improve their quality of life by placing their needs at the centre and giving them a strong voice. It connects affected people across illnesses and organisations, bundles information and brings it into political and professional discourse. The association is registered in the register of associations and has its seat in Aschaffenburg am Main.

Kindernetzwerk e.V. is the umbrella organisation of family-oriented self-help and represents the interests of chronically ill and disabled children, adolescents, young adults and their families. According to its statutes, the association is named "Kindernetzwerk e.V. - Selbsthilfe von Familien mit Kindern und (jungen) Erwachsenen mit chronischen Erkrankungen und Behinderungen" and has its seat in Aschaffenburg am Main. It is entered in the register of associations. The association pursues exclusively and directly charitable and benevolent purposes within the meaning of the tax-privileged purposes section of the German Fiscal Code, including the promotion of benevolent purposes, the promotion of public health care and the promotion of help for disabled people. Its goal is to act as a network of all those in society who care for ill and impaired children, adolescents and young adults, with the terms "illness and impairment" deliberately broadly defined and always considered in the context of the entire family system.
