Overview

Chromos AG, operating under the umbrella of CHROMOS Group AG and CHROMOS Holding AG, is a Swiss trading company headquartered in Dielsdorf. Founded in 1946 by Paul A. Broglie in Zurich, the business began by supplying the graphic arts industry and has grown into a diversified group active in imaging, automation and life science. It remains a family enterprise, now led by the third generation. The group is organized into six business areas: Printing, Packaging, Industrial, KELVA Web Cleaning, FUJIFILM Photo and Service. Through these units Chromos distributes products and solutions from a range of internationally known manufacturers. The Printing division focuses on machinery, equipment and materials for the printing industry, including conventional and digital sheet-fed and web presses, printing plates and CtP systems. Packaging covers flexible packaging and packaging printing solutions, such as high-barrier films for laminated structures. Industrial addresses automation topics including machine vision, collaborative robotics, deep learning, high-speed imaging, product marking and 3D printing. KELVA Web Cleaning develops, manufactures and globally markets web-cleaning systems used across industries to remove dust and contamination from paper, corrugated board, film or textile webs before further processing. The FUJIFILM Photo division acts as the official Swiss distribution partner of FUJIFILM Corporation, importing and selling mirrorless digital cameras, color films, instant cameras, photo printing systems, photographic paper and chemicals. The Service division, with more than 30 technicians, handles installation, maintenance and repair of the distributed equipment and capital goods. Depending on the business area, Chromos operates in Switzerland, across Europe and worldwide. The group has expanded both organically through subsidiaries and through acquisitions consolidated under CHROMOS Holding AG. Among these is Fujifilm (Switzerland) AG, acquired in 1997. The group also includes the Swiss Vitaris AG, Chromos GmbH in Germany, CHROMOS Österreich GmbH in Austria, Kelva AB in Sweden and DVS System Software GmbH + Co. KG in Germany.
