CI-TELCOM

CI-TELCOM, also known as Côte d'Ivoire Telecom, was the state telecommunications operator of Côte d'Ivoire. It was created in 1991 and was responsible for establishing networks and providing telecommunications services in the country. In 1997, following an international tender, France Télécom Câble et Radio acquired 51% of the company's shares and increased its share capital to 15 billion CFA francs. The company later became part of the Orange group and was absorbed by Orange Côte d'Ivoire on 1 January 2017. The brand is now defunct as a separate entity.

Côte d'Ivoire Telecom (CI-TELCOM) was established in 1991 as the national telecommunications operator of Côte d'Ivoire, tasked with building networks and delivering telecommunications services. On 3 February 1997, following an international call for tenders, France Télécom Câble et Radio acquired 51% of the company's shares and subsequently increased its share capital to 15 billion CFA francs. The company operated under the CI-TELCOM brand and later became part of the Orange group. On 1 January 2017, it merged with Orange Côte d'Ivoire, with Côte d'Ivoire Telecom being absorbed by Orange Côte d'Ivoire. The brand ceased to exist as a separate entity.
