Overview

Colette Mare (コレットマーレ) is a shopping center located in the Hulic Minato Mirai complex in front of Sakuragicho Station in Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It opened on March 19, 2010, as the core commercial facility of the mixed-use building then known as TOC Minato Mirai. The facility spans floors B1 through 7F and includes fashion tenants, restaurants, a cinema complex, a fitness club, and a medical mall. It is connected to nearby Landmark Plaza and Queens Square Yokohama by moving walkways. The center is anchored by large tenants including Yokohama Burg 13, a cinema complex with the largest number of seats and screens in Kanagawa Prefecture; Summit Store, the largest supermarket in Kanagawa Prefecture; and Muji, also the largest store in the prefecture. It also hosts the first store of Workman's new format "#Workman Joshi," which does not handle workwear. Since 2020, the facility has undergone a major renovation that included the opening of Summit Store, Seria, and a large Muji store. Ownership changed on May 16, 2017, when Hulic acquired the property. Operation was handled by Sumisho Urban Development from that date until April 30, 2026, and from May 1, 2026, by MSC (エム・エス・シー). The official website lists shopping hours of 11:00–20:00 and restaurant hours of 11:00–23:00, with some stores differing. The facility offers various services including free Wi-Fi, baby rooms, nursing rooms, stroller rentals, and a hair iron sharing service called ReCute on the 2nd and 7th floors. It also provides parking for 546 cars (self-propelled) and various discount programs such as cinema discounts, fitness discounts, and air cabin discounts.

History

Colette Mare opened on March 19, 2010, as the core commercial facility of the mixed-use building TOC Minato Mirai in the Minato Mirai 28 block of Yokohama. The building was developed by TOC (Tokyo Tatemono and others) and the shopping center was positioned as a key retail destination in the Sakuragicho area. At opening, it included the cinema complex Yokohama Burg 13, which had 13 screens and 2,483 seats, the largest in Kanagawa Prefecture at the time. On May 16, 2017, Hulic Co., Ltd. acquired the property, and the building was renamed Hulic Minato Mirai. Operation of the shopping center was transferred to Sumisho Urban Development on the same day. From 2020, the facility underwent a major renovation that included the opening of Summit Store, Seria, and a large Muji store, the largest in Kanagawa Prefecture. The renovation aimed to strengthen daily-life convenience and attract a broader customer base. In 2016, Yokohama Burg 13 introduced an IMAX digital theater in Theater 7 on July 1. On December 11, 2024, ScreenX with Dolby Atmos was introduced in Theater 12. It is planned that from November 3, 2026, Theater 7's IMAX digital theater will be upgraded to IMAX Laser. The cinema is operated by Toei Joy Entertainment, with management shared by Toei Joy Entertainment, Tokyu Recreation, and Shochiku Multiplex Theaters. On May 1, 2026, operation of Colette Mare changed from Sumisho Urban Development to MSC (エム・エス・シー). The facility continues to operate as a shopping town with a diverse mix of tenants, including fashion, restaurants, services, and entertainment.
