Colmado Maneu

Colmado Maneu is a historic grocery store located at Carrer del Sindicat, number 70, in Palma, Mallorca. The site originally housed the Cafè restaurant Can Maganet in 1962, run by Francisco Juan and Eulàlia Blanch from Porreres. In 1977, they opened the Colmado Maneu within the restaurant's dining room. The store specializes in local Mallorcan products such as flours, legumes, wines, and cured meats, selling both retail and wholesale. The mother created a famous sandwich known as 'es porrerenc'. The building retains its original structure for nearly 60 years and features a portal with an exterior window at the corner with Carrer de Maneu. Inside, a display case filled with sausages and sacks of legumes sit alongside shelves stocked with island products. It is a reference establishment in Palma and a example of traditional commerce in Mallorca. In 2018, it was inscribed in the Catalog of Emblematic Establishments, and on July 24, 2024, it was maintained as an Emblematic Commerce (category 1B) by the Palma City Council.

On July 24, 2024 (resolution no. 7460, Ajuntament de Palma), it is maintained as an Emblematic Commerce (category 1B) in the approval of the Catalog of emblematic establishments of 2024, in which it was inscribed in 2018.
