According to the official website, Jamel Debbouze opened the Comedy Club after three months of renovation, creating a warmly intimate atmosphere with New York inspirations in what had been one of the oldest adult cinemas in Paris. The site states that the concept followed the creation of the flagship show 'Jamel Comedy Club' with Canal+ in 2006, and that Le Comedy Club on the Grands Boulevards was realized two years later. The venue has hosted shows, concerts, brunches, clubbing, cine-clubs, and associative events, and its 'wall of fame' notes that many artists have passed through since 2006. La DebJam, the new-talent stage, has been scouting and selecting talents since 2013, with the public seeing artists such as Alban Ivanov, Malik Bentalha, Inès Reg, Fary, Bun Hay Mean, and Paul Mirabel emerge.

A Paris stand-up venue and talent incubator, described on its official site as a springboard where recognized artists have emerged.
