Czech Equestrian Team

Czech Equestrian Team (CET) is a Czech equestrian sports organization and stables based in Prague. It was founded with the aim of supporting the development of equestrian sport in the Czech Republic, with a primary focus on backing talented athletes—both riders and horses—and promoting equestrianism to the general public. The team operates stables that emphasize competition horses, providing above-standard training conditions so that horses can perform at their best in competitions. CET also breeds successors from its former star horses, gradually expanding its young prospects. The organization is closely linked to the Global Champions series. Since 2018, Prague has been part of the prestigious Global Champions show jumping series, which allowed the city to have its own team, the Prague Lions. Czech Equestrian Team rider Anna Kellnerová, a member of the Czech national team, competes regularly in the Global Champions Tour as an individual and represents the Prague Lions in the Global Champions League. In 2018, CET helped organize the Global Champions series finale at the O2 Arena in Prague, and followed that success by hosting a Nations Cup at the CSIO 3* at the Chuchle racecourse in Prague. In 2023, as part of the CET Prague CUP, the team organized the first-ever Olympic team qualification at CSIO 4* for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. CET's activities span athlete and horse development, competition organization, and team representation. Its stables are home to a growing number of young horses bred from former top competitors. The organization remains active in the Czech and international show jumping scene, with its riders participating in high-level series such as the Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League.
