Overview
The Czech Technical University Publishing House (ČTN) has been part of ČVUT since 1964. Over more than 60 years of activity it has published over 12,000 specialist titles. Its goals align with the university's strategy, contributing to strengthening the ČVUT brand and to popularizing study and science for the broader professional public. It disseminates the results of ČVUT's educational, research and creative activities and ensures the quality of this output. It produces scripts, university textbooks, specialist books and selected periodicals (Pražská technika and TecniCall), promotional and information materials, and other publications issued by ČVUT in Prague. It handles the publication of titles in the ČVUT editorial series — from contracts and consultations with authors to graphic design and pre-press preparation — and also administers ISBN agenda. The ČVUT printing house ceased operations on 31 August 2018, but publishing activity continues, with scripts and other publications now printed externally. ČTN offers ČVUT and VŠCHT Prague production, as well as publications from a range of Czech publishers (e.g. Albatros Media, Ben, Vutium, Grada), including the ÚZ edition from SAGIT. Besides technically and chemically focused books, it also carries language textbooks, cookbooks, travel guides and other leisure literature, as well as stationery and light reading.

The ČVUT printing house ceased operations on 31 August 2018, as it was necessary to leave the basement of the VŠCHT building in Zikova Street; despite efforts, no adequate new premises were found. Publishing activity remains unchanged, with scripts and other publications still issued, only printed externally.
