DÔEN is a women-run business founded by Santa Barbara-born sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland together with a Collective of LA-based women-identifying creatives and business leaders, all equity owners. The brand offers collections inspired by a nostalgia for the coastal California of decades past, and launched in 2016 as a multi-channel brand. Its product range includes dresses, tops, knitwear, florals, coats and jackets, and gift cards, sold through its website and a set of named shops.

DÔEN was founded by Santa Barbara-born sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland, together with a Collective of women. Their years in the fashion industry highlighted the lack of representation of women at the helm of fashion brands and the absence of an accessible, inviting and beautiful brand that spoke to, empathized with, and listened to the customer, which inspired them to create something different. Their personal paths to motherhood shed light on their power as women and their ability to build, nurture, and sustain on their own, and they channeled this confidence to conceptualize a brand their way. With thoughtful determination, Margaret and Katherine brought together a Collective of LA-based women-identifying creatives and business leaders, all equity owners, to launch DÔEN with the goal of creating an organization that put the woman first while honoring the true partnership of individuals who helped to build it. DÔEN launched in 2016 and is a multi-channel brand.
