In 2004, Daikin Industries consolidated part of its central air-conditioning division and service headquarters functions with Daikin Plant to newly establish Daikin Applied Systems Co., Ltd. The company subsequently expanded its operations, opening a pharmaceutical engineering department in 2005 and various sales offices across Japan in the 2000s and 2010s.
