Born in Sheffield in 1930 and originally trained as a silversmith, he specialised in metalwork and is particularly famous for his cutlery, which won numerous design awards and is held in many international collections. His well-known ranges of stainless steel and silver cutlery are manufactured in his own purpose-built factory in Derbyshire. The company offers cutlery, kitchen knives and boards, tableware, glassware, craft pottery and woodware, and cooking and baking essentials.
