Debemur Morti Productions

Debemur Morti Productions is a French record label that emerged in 2003. According to its own account, it was founded amid disillusionment with the quality offered by many underground labels, and it set out to prove that 'underground' does not have to mean 'mediocrity'. The label concentrated on quality over quantity and artistry over commercial viability, securing deals with acts such as Blut Aus Nord, Archgoat, In the Woods..., Terra Tenebrosa, Behexen and Manes. While its early years were deep-rooted in Black Metal, the label states that it takes pride in the diversity of its roster and continues to progress, unearthing treasures from wider spheres of the Black Arts. It describes itself as a seal of quality, with each release a synthesis of music and crafted physical product.
