Overview
Densan System Holdings Co.,Ltd. is a Japanese holding company established on July 1, 2021 through a sole-share transfer of Densan System Co., Ltd. It is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and the Nagoya Stock Exchange Premier Market, and operates with a dual-headquarters structure in Gifu and Tokyo. Its roots trace to Gifu Electronic Computing Center Co., Ltd., founded in March 1967, which was renamed Densan System Co., Ltd. in January 1977.
History
The group's origins lie in Gifu Electronic Computing Center Co., Ltd., established in March 1967 with joint investment by four local banks and major companies, primarily to provide commissioned information-processing services for private enterprises and organizations in Gifu Prefecture. In January 1977 the company changed its name to Densan System Co., Ltd. to expand beyond the prefecture. It opened a Tokyo Division and Osaka Branch in April 1986, and in February 1997 began Japan's first convenience-store payment agency service. In January 2003 it established a Tokyo head office alongside its Gifu head office, creating a dual-headquarters structure. It listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Second Section of the Nagoya Stock Exchange in October 2008, and was reassigned to the First Sections of both exchanges in September 2012. On July 1, 2021, Densan System Holdings Co., Ltd. was established through a sole-share transfer of Densan System Co., Ltd., and listed on the First Sections of the Tokyo and Nagoya stock exchanges. In April 2022 it moved to the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market and the Nagoya Stock Exchange Premier Market.
