The internationally active DERAG Unternehmensgruppe, headquartered in Munich, unites various business divisions under its umbrella brand. Originally founded in 1951 as a property developer and real estate company, the group now comprises the divisions Project Development, Real Estate, Hotels & Apartments, Media, Gastronomy, BANZAI and Location Development (Fairview Orchards). It currently employs around 700 people. Its Project Development division has realized more than 85,000 residential and commercial real estate units since 1951. The Real Estate division manages the group's existing properties in Germany and Austria. The Hotels & Apartments division includes the Living Hotels, founded in 1982 and described as a pioneer in the apartment-hotel market in German-speaking Europe, and the SOULMADE brand launched in 2016; the chain today comprises 18 hotels at 9 locations. The group expanded into media by taking on the regional TV stations münchen.tv and tv.ingolstadt in 2024 and L-TV Landesfernsehen in 2025.
