Overview
Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) is a German financial advisory group whose history began in 1975, when Prof. Dr. Reinfried Pohl and his wife Anneliese founded the company in a small office in Frankfurt am Main. According to its own account, it has continuously expanded its market leadership among financial advisory firms in Germany and stands for a holistic advisory approach. The company is now run in the second generation by the sons Andreas and Reinfried Pohl. Its group structure has grown through the transfer of distribution operations: in 2008 the AachenMünchener transferred the entrepreneurial leadership of its sales organization to DVAG after more than 30 years of partnership, making DVAG its sole distribution channel and creating Allfinanz Deutsche Vermögensberatung; in 2018 the Generali Group handed over its exclusive distribution to DVAG after 40 years of cooperation. The company presents itself as a partner for insurance protection, retirement provision and wealth building, and warns publicly about fraudsters impersonating its representatives.
