Overview

DinLokaltidning is a Swedish free weekly local newspaper, distributed every Tuesday to all households and businesses in the municipalities of Sandviken, Hofors and Ockelbo. It was founded in February 1980 by Stefan and Rose Kleen, with its first issue published on Tuesday 13 May 1980. Originally named Annonsbladet, the paper has focused from the outset on local news and advertising, deliberately leaving world events to other media. Its editorial mix combines local reporting with local advertising, aiming to offer high reading value for residents and businesses in its near region. The paper is distributed through PostNord and is also available as an e-paper since early 2007, with a growing number of website visitors. It offers an online archive, accepts advertising from companies, associations and private individuals, and provides an audio version via speech synthesis in its app, on its website and through Daisy players, a feature aimed at people with visual impairment or reading difficulties. The publication prints 1,000 copies per week, with the distribution area expanding to Forsbacka and Valbo during major issues. It also offers customer newspaper services.
