Supreme Court leaves Domino’s website accessibility ruling in place

    Ruling

The U.S. Supreme Court denied Domino’s petition, leaving in place the Ninth Circuit ruling that the company must make its website and mobile app accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. The case followed a blind customer’s lawsuit alleging he could not order using screen-reading technology.

Stated objective. Domino’s said federal standards would provide a common path for businesses and non-profit institutions to meet accessibility needs.

    Company response

    • Clarification — Domino’s

Although Domino’s is disappointed that the Supreme Court will not review this case, we look forward to presenting our case at the trial court. We also remain steadfast in our belief in the need for federal standards for everyone to follow in making their websites and mobile apps accessible.
