In 2024, Dongling Group, controlled by former Shaanxi richest man Li Heiji, entered bankruptcy reorganization due to a debt crisis; it had previously been implicated in a corruption case. Production was suspended for rectification, ecological compensation was paid, and bankruptcy reorganization followed.
