Dormitory Authority of the State of New York

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) is described on its corporate information page as a public benefit corporation. Its work enables hospitals, universities, and state and local governments to meet the needs of taxpayers efficiently and cost-effectively while strengthening the economy and creating opportunity for historically disadvantaged and underserved populations. DASNY offers financing, design and/or construction services, and its stated mission is to deliver exceptional service and professional expertise on every financing and construction project for its clients and the public in a cost-effective manner while advancing the policy goals of New York State. It is governed by an 11-member Board responsible for establishing operating policies, approving the Authority's operating budget, and every financing, and monitoring adherence to DASNY guidelines.
