Dost Kitabevi

Dost Kitabevi is a Turkish bookstore chain and publishing house based in Ankara. It was founded in March 1977 by Erdal Akalın in the Zafer Çarşısı arcade in the Sıhhiye district of Çankaya, Ankara. The store later opened a branch on Konur Sokak, and after operating both locations simultaneously, it closed the original Zafer Çarşısı shop and opened another branch on Karanfil Sokak. Today, Dost Kitabevi has two branches in Ankara. In 1981, the bookstore began publishing activities with Murathan Mungan's book "Taziye". In 1996, it established Dost Kitabevi Yayınları, its own publishing company, which continues to operate. At one point, the bookstore also had a branch in Eskişehir. Dost Kitabevi is regarded as one of the city's oldest and most well-known bookstores, and it remains active in both bookselling and publishing.
