Overview
DPSA Ile de France (commonly branded DPSA Sécurité) is a French private security company headquartered in Levallois-Perret, in the Île-de-France region around Paris. Founded in 1980 by Dominique Paulus, the company describes itself as a premium human-security specialist and positions itself as the leading provider of premium human security in Île-de-France. It serves corporate headquarters, sensitive and strategic sites, high-rise buildings (IGH), research centres, luxury hotels, luxury houses and museums, offering guarding, human surveillance, fire safety, access management and risk analysis. The company was taken over by Guy Albinet and became DPSA Ile de France, subsequently withdrawing from public procurement and mass retail to focus on high-value-added private clients. It is part of the Groupe SODEGA holding, which was created as the group structure around the business. DPSA operates its own training centre, Point Bleu, and has been involved in IGH/ERP training through the acquisition of ISIG, a centre approved by the French Ministry of the Interior. It is a member of the employers' union SNES and of ARSEG, the association of general services managers. DPSA Ile de France markets two service tiers, Performance and Premium, covering the agent, supervision, equipment and contract dimensions. The company emphasizes a human-scale approach, proximity to clients, continuous training and a limited number of exclusive clients, and it operates a 24/7 remote monitoring centre from its Levallois-Perret premises. It has been certified NF Service Prévention et Sécurité by AFNOR, among the first companies to obtain that certification. With more than 45 years of experience, DPSA remains an independent, family-influenced player in the French private security market.
History
DPSA was founded in 1980 by Dominique Paulus. The company was later taken over by Guy Albinet and became DPSA Ile de France, at which point it stopped responding to public procurement tenders and withdrew from mass retail, refocusing on private, high-value-added clients. Over the following decades the business developed a reputation for protecting sensitive and strategic sites, corporate headquarters, high-rise buildings (IGH), research centres and luxury hospitality clients. A holding company, GROUPE SODEGA, was created around the business. DPSA also created Point Bleu, its own training centre, and joined the employers' union SNES as well as ARSEG, the association of general services managers. It launched an internal newspaper for its agents and later an information newsletter, La Lettre Bleue. The company acquired ISIG, a training centre approved by the French Ministry of the Interior for IGH/ERP training, and merged it with Point Bleu. It moved to Levallois-Perret, which remains the group's headquarters, and set up a remote monitoring centre (PC de Télésurveillance) operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. DPSA also took a stake in OFMATEL and brought in Geoffroy Castelnau as Commercial Director. It was among the first companies to be certified NF Service Prévention et Sécurité by AFNOR. DPSA Ile de France describes itself as having evolved across generations while preserving its independence and a human-scale approach. It markets two service tiers, Performance and Premium, and emphasizes proximity to clients, continuous training and a restricted number of exclusive clients. With more than 45 years of activity, it presents itself as one of the leading private security companies in Paris and Île-de-France and as the number one in premium human security in the region.
