Dr. Werner Jackstädt-Stiftung

The Dr. Werner Jackstädt-Stiftung is a foundation established in 2002 by Dr. h.c. Werner Jackstädt, who had been one of the world's leading manufacturers of self-adhesive papers and films with the global group "Jac". He decided to sell his company to an American group and to use the entire proceeds to set up the foundation. The foundation has three foundation purposes and supports nationwide projects and talent in the fields of business administration ("BWL") and medicine, and in Wuppertal in culture and social affairs. Dr. Jackstädt shaped the foundation's development and work as chairman of the board until his death in 2005. Further founding board members were his wife Lore Jackstädt, Dr. Rolf Kanzler and Rolf-Peter Rosenthal. After Dr. Jackstädt's death his widow Lore Jackstädt took over the chair; after her death in January 2019 the remaining board members elected Dr. Rolf Kanzler as the new chairman. Since 01.04.2024 Dr. Marc Kanzler has been chairman of the foundation board.
