Dreame Fined for False Advertising and Harming Tineco's Reputation; Loses Multiple IP Cases
Companies related to Dreame Trading were penalized by market regulators for inducing customers into transactions and harming the reputation of competitor Tineco; in Tineco's lawsuit against Dreame, the court found that Dreame maliciously used patent complaints to attack a competitor and ordered compensation, and the Dreame H12 floor washer infringed Tineco's design patent; Dreame hair dryers were also found to infringe Dyson's design patent. Dreame was fined and ordered to pay compensation; a series of patent disputes with Dyson were settled through pre-litigation mediation by the Supreme People's Court in 2023.
