Düker

Düker is a German company whose roots reach back to 1469 and which began producing cast products in 1840. It supplies valves, fittings, connection technology and services for flow control in civil engineering, as well as drainage technology, with products made from ductile cast iron and high-quality enamel. In 2020 it adopted a strategy to become a solutions provider for water supply and wastewater disposal, and in 2022 it took over STRATE Technologie für Abwassertechnik GmbH and established a modern holding structure.

Düker's roots reach back to 1469, with the first documentary mention of a mine near Laufach. In 1525 a mine, smelting works and iron hammer existed in Laufach. Cast product manufacturing began in 1840. In 1875 the iron hammer and blast furnace were shut down, and since then it has been a pure foundry. The Karlstadt plant was founded in 1913. Friedrich Wilhelm Düker joined in 1918. The first enamelled cast parts were made in 1923. In 1944 Düker became the company name. In 1957 the first internally enamelled gate valves were introduced, a novelty on the market. In 2004 there was a change of shareholders to Klaus-Georg Hengstberger. In 2010 a new hand moulding shop and electric melting furnace were built in Laufach. In 2013 the Karlstadt plant celebrated 100 years. In 2014 a new cupola furnace was installed in Karlstadt. In 2017 DET Düker Email Technologie was spun off. In 2018 Oliver Kraxner took over the management. In 2019 the company celebrated its 550th anniversary. In 2020 a new strategy was adopted: Düker became a solutions provider for water supply and wastewater disposal. In 2022 STRATE Technologie für Abwassertechnik GmbH was acquired and a modern holding structure and new locations were established. In 2024 the company celebrated its 555th anniversary.
