History
The Dunietz family began operating in the construction industry in 1961 as individuals. Dunietz Brothers Ltd. was founded on 9 September 1968 by three brothers: Aryeh Dunietz, Yochanan (Yank) Dunietz and Avraham (Adam) Dunietz. The company started its activities in Kfar Saba and Bat Yam, and later expanded its operations to additional cities in central Israel and Jerusalem. On 10 February 1993, the company first issued its shares to the public, becoming a publicly traded company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. In April 2020, the JTLV fund together with Ronen Yaffe acquired control of Elad Israel New Residences Ltd., a company established by Yitzhak Tshuva and fully owned by him. Elad Israel New Residences was originally created for debt-raising purposes, and for this Tshuva transferred to it the main activity of Elad Israel Residences. In March 2021, JTLV acquired controlling shares in Dunietz Brothers Ltd. and began negotiations for a deal to sell Elad shares in exchange for allocating Dunietz shares. In late 2021, Yitzhak Tshuva decided to sell his remaining holdings in Elad Israel New Residences to the JTLV fund due to economic conditions following the COVID-19 pandemic. In June 2022, the share-swap transaction was executed, whereby Elad Israel New Residences became a wholly owned and controlled subsidiary of Dunietz Brothers. Upon completion of the transaction, Ronen Yaffe was appointed CEO of the company and its subsidiaries; prior to his appointment as CEO of Dunietz Brothers, Ronen Yaffe served as CEO of Elad Israel New Residences. In August 2023, a move was completed to replace the bonds of Elad Israel New Residences with bonds of a new series issued by Dunietz Brothers. With the completion of this move, trading in the bonds of Elad Israel New Residences Ltd. was halted and trading began in the new bonds issued by Dunietz Brothers Ltd. Elad Israel New Residences Ltd. became a private company, not a reporting company, wholly owned by Dunietz Brothers. In January 2024, the company raised an additional NIS 57.75 million in bonds. The company is controlled by the JTLV2 fund, which holds more than 50% of the company. Additional interested parties in the company are the insurance companies Phoenix Insurance and Menora Mivtachim Pension and Provident, and Vicky Dunietz. The chairman of the company from April 2000 until 30 June 2022 was Yaki Dunietz. He was replaced in this role by Chen Mordechai. The company's main offices are located in Europark, Yakum. Since completing the acquisition of Elad Israel New Residences in 2022, the company has used the name Dunietz-Elad in its business activities. It has housed many thousands of satisfied families in dozens of projects across the country and is ranked among the top real-estate companies in Israel as a developer that emphasizes the highest construction standards and environmental development, including thriving community life and diverse services for residents' welfare.
