Dunn-Edwards

Dunn-Edwards is a paint brand whose official website presents interior paints and coatings, exterior paints and coatings, industrial/high-performance paints and coatings, and specialty paints and coatings. Its history page states the company was established in 1925 and that Frank "Buddy" Dunn founded the company in 1925 as a wallpaper store in Los Angeles, later partnering with Arthur C. Edwards in 1938 to form the Dunn-Edwards Corporation. The site also describes a store network offering color consultations and professional advice.

According to the official history page, Frank "Buddy" Dunn founded the company in 1925, not as a paint maker but as a wallpaper store in Los Angeles. The business expanded as he added a line of paints, and later, with two employees, he began manufacturing his own paints in the backroom of the company's second store. In 1938, he partnered with his friend Arthur C. Edwards, a former painting contractor and pigment salesman, to form the Dunn-Edwards Corporation. The page states that Dunn-Edwards has been the leading paint manufacturer in the Southwestern United States since 1925. It also states that in 2024 a new tagline, "Apply A Higher Standard," was unveiled.

Dunn-Edwards describes itself as a premier paint brand providing expert service and project-focused solutions designed for people who paint.
