Eastside 9

Eastside 9 is a movie theater located in Lafayette, Indiana, in the United States. It is part of the GQT Movies circuit, the exhibition brand of Goodrich Quality Theaters, a regional cinema chain with screens across the Midwest and beyond. The venue appears in GQT Movies' official theater directory, where it is listed as "GQT Eastside 10 IMAX" — indicating that the site has been expanded or rebranded to ten auditoriums and includes an IMAX premium large-format screen. The "9" in the Eastside 9 name reflects the theater's original nine-screen configuration. As a GQT Movies location, Eastside 9 operates as a first-run multiplex, showing mainstream Hollywood releases, family films, faith-based and event programming, and premium-format presentations. The circuit's programming mix includes Fathom Events, Flashback Cinema classic-film series, and large-format offerings such as IMAX, DBOX motion seating, and the company's own GDX (Giant Digital Experience) auditoriums. The theater serves the Greater Lafayette area, including West Lafayette and Purdue University, and competes with other regional and national exhibitors. Eastside 9 is a retail/venue brand rather than a standalone corporation: it is a named location within the GQT Movies portfolio. Its public identity is tied to the parent circuit's website, gqtmovies.com, and to the corporate domain gqti.com. The theater's address and showtimes are published through the GQT Movies site, and it participates in the chain's loyalty and rewards programs, gift-card sales, and group/event booking services. Because Eastside 9 is a single-site cinema brand, its public footprint is primarily local: showtimes, promotions, and community events. Its significance in a brand knowledge base lies in its role as a node in the GQT Movies network and as an example of a regional exhibition brand operating under a multi-state circuit.

Eastside 9 is a movie theater in Lafayette, Indiana, United States. It is part of the GQT Movies exhibition circuit, the cinema brand of Goodrich Quality Theaters. The venue is listed in the GQT Movies official theater directory as "GQT Eastside 10 IMAX," which indicates that the site now operates ten auditoriums and includes an IMAX premium large-format screen; the original "Eastside 9" name referred to a nine-screen configuration. The theater's public identity is tied to the GQT Movies network, which operates locations across several states, including Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, as shown in the chain's location list. Within that network, Eastside 9 serves the Lafayette, Indiana area, home to Purdue University and a surrounding metropolitan population. Like other GQT locations, it offers first-run Hollywood films, family and faith-based programming, Fathom Events, and the chain's Flashback Cinema classic-film series. Premium formats available across the circuit include IMAX, DBOX motion seating, and GDX (Giant Digital Experience) auditoriums. As a single-site cinema brand, Eastside 9 does not have a separate corporate history; its history is that of its parent circuit and of the local market it serves. The theater's operations, showtimes, and promotions are published through gqtmovies.com, and the corporate domain gqti.com is associated with the parent company. The venue participates in chain-wide programs such as rewards, gift cards, and group/event booking. Because the available evidence is limited to the GQT Movies website and a Wikidata entry identifying Eastside 9 as a movie theater in Lafayette, Indiana, details such as the exact opening date, original owner, and renovation timeline are not documented here. The entry should be treated as a venue-level brand record within the GQT Movies circuit.
