History
Ernst Ebert, born on 4 September 1940 in Ezelheim, grew up on a small farm. In 1965 he began his military service with the Bundeswehr in Oberviechtach. Two years later, in 1967, he took over the position of head of the electrical engineering department at the engineering office IB Dürrmann in Nürnberg, which specialized in technical building equipment (TGA). In 1973 Ernst Ebert took the step into self-employment and founded Ebert Ingenieure together with a partner, in a modest two-room apartment. Despite economic challenges such as the Konjunktursteuer and investment stops, the young company managed to grow; former colleagues joined and the team began planning the entire breadth of technical building equipment. Through continuous development and new locations, the company was able to steadily expand both its customer base and its technical capacities. From the first day, Ebert Ingenieure convinced with a comprehensive range of services — from planning through implementation to monitoring of technical building equipment — and quickly established itself as a trustworthy partner. In 2009 Ernst Ebert withdrew from active business at the age of 69, but remained active on an honorary basis in associations and chambers and gave lectures, in particular on 'renewable energies'. Since 2013 Ebert Ingenieure has been part of the Zech Group, a renowned corporate group that covers the development, planning, construction and operation of real estate.
