Overview

EBV-Leasing, now operating under the brand s Leasing, is Austria's largest brand-independent leasing company. It was founded in 1979 in Vienna as a subsidiary of the Erste österreichische Spar-Casse and the Bundesländer Versicherung (today UNIQA Versicherungen AG). The original purpose was to combine car leasing with car insurance under an 'Allfinanz' approach, an innovative idea that remains valid today. The leasing business was distributed through the parent companies' channels, including bank branches and insurance field services. From 1998, the bank distribution was gradually expanded to include the Austrian Sparkassen. In February 2003, two new sales companies were founded under EBV-Leasing to strengthen integration into distribution channels: s Autoleasing GmbH as a 100% subsidiary of Erste Bank, and UNIQA Leasing GmbH as a 100% subsidiary of UNIQA. The structure of EBV-Leasing remained unchanged. On 1 February 2009, UNIQA sold its 50% stake in EBV-Leasing to Wiener Städtische Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group. In connection with this, Wiener Städtische Donau Leasing GmbH was founded as a new sales company for the insurance companies Wiener Städtische and Donau. On 1 January 2013, the movable asset leasing business of Erste Group Immorent AG in Austria and s Autoleasing GmbH were merged into a new company, Erste Bank und Sparkassen Leasing GmbH. On 1 January 2015, the corporate structure was simplified and EBV-Leasing GmbH & Co. KG was contributed into Erste Bank und Sparkassen Leasing GmbH. The company specializes in vehicle, movable asset and sales leasing as well as fleet management products, including financing and insurance. For vehicle leasing, additional services around the car are offered, such as discounts on fuel, rental cars or driving safety training. In 2014, the company reported 44,000 customers, 62,500 contracts, a 13% market share and 134 employees. It has received an EFFIE nomination from the International Advertising Association and berufundfamilie certification from bmfi. The current website s-leasing.at provides services for private and business customers, including an online vehicle marketplace, e-charging bonus, leasing hits, service app and e-Leasing24.
