History

Ecogate began in 1997, when co-founder Petr Litomisky developed the first Ecogate automatic blast gate after seeing how conventional dust collection systems wasted energy in a Hollywood woodworking shop. The original greenBOX, now referred to as greenBOX 8, launched in 1998 as a small-shop automation kit. In 2001, Ecogate completed its first industrial on-demand dust collection installation, supported by Southern California Edison. Since then, Ecogate has grown from automatic blast gates into coordinated systems that include Smart Gates, greenBOX controls, Power Master VFD control, analytics, commissioning, and engineering services. From its North Hollywood headquarters, Ecogate now supports manufacturers across woodworking, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, education, welding, and other industrial environments. The company's supplier relationship with Donaldson adds another milestone: Ecogate's on-demand control technology now connects with one of the best-known names in industrial filtration.
