Overview
Ecolocity Co., Ltd. (エコロシティ株式会社) is a Japanese company that develops and operates parking facilities, primarily coin-operated (time-based) parking lots and monthly contract parking. Founded in February 1996, the company began by developing time-based parking lots in central Tokyo and expanded across Japan. Its core brand, EcoloPark (エコロパーク), covers a nationwide network of parking locations, and the company also offers a premium service line, EcoloPark+ (エコロパークプラス), focused on fully cashless, landscape-conscious, and energy-saving parking. Ecolocity positions itself as a "mobility service company" pursuing "Parking × IT × Marketing" to address urban issues. The company has pursued industry-first initiatives, including the early adoption of domestically produced cedar thinned wood for car stops and barriers, QR code payment machines, and EV charging stations at its parking lots. It has formed business alliances with real estate and property management firms and, in 2023, entered a capital alliance with a fund served by Advantage Partners. As of 2025, the company manages over 5,000 parking sites and continues to expand its branch and sales office network across Japan.
