Ecoparc de Barcelona

Ecoparc de Barcelona is an environmental facility dedicated to the integral treatment of waste from the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. Its function is to valorize the organic fraction and the rest (undifferentiated waste or household reject) through complementary treatments such as the selection and separation of recoverable materials, composting and methanization. Its stated objectives include minimizing the facility's environmental impact, improving staff safety and health conditions, adapting to changes in waste quality and quantity, optimizing biogas production, maximizing compost production, reducing plant reject, reducing organic matter in plant reject, and recovering as much recyclable material as possible.
