Egyptian Ship Repair & Building Company (ESRBC) is a shipbuilding company in Egypt. According to its official website, it was established in 1924 by Aboud Pasha under the name Elposta Elkhediwia ship lines, was transferred to the ministry of transportation after the 1952 revolution, and in 2003 its ownership transferred to the Marine Industries And Services Organization owned by the Ministry of defence. The company specializes in building all types of ships (steel and aluminum, navy and commercial) with displacement up to 800 tons and repairing all types of ships with displacement up to 9000 tons, and it earned ISO 9001:2008 from GL classification society in 2007.

• Shipbuilding

  Building all types of ships (Steel – Aluminum) (Navy – Commercial) with displacement up to 800 Ton.

• Ship repair

  Repair all types of ships with displacement up to 9000 Ton.

• Other works

  New Buoy’s, all ports equipment manufacture; make complete design for medium, small units.

• Quality assurance services

  Ultrasonic inspection (conventional U.T & thickness measurement & phased array), magnetic particle inspection testing, liquid penetrant inspection testing, visual inspection test for welding, hardness test, material chemical analysis, gas free detection instruments.

• Information technology services

  Processing all kinds of servers; installation and configuration of all kind of monitoring cams; supply and installation of all types of attendance devices and fingerprint; development and design of all information networks; supply of all kinds of computers, printers and network communications devices; design and development of websites.

• Mechanical workshops

  Turning workshop manufacturing all types of valves up to 2.5m diameter, propellers up to 300kg, couplings, painting and casting propellers; piping workshop processing and refitting pipes on ships, plumbing works; foundry workshop casting zinc, copper, white metal, cast iron, copper sleeves and bushes, pump impellers, fans, propellers.

• Diesel workshop

  Implementing overhauls to all types of diesel engines and compressors.

• Carpentry workshop

  Furnished the accommodation of the tugs as galley and all other furnished; preparation of docking cradle and floating dock.

• Industrial workshop

  Manufacturing conveyor belts; manufacture and installation of metal structures; manufacturing and building tanks of petroleum materials and oils with large capacities up to 1000 Tons; manufacturing stainless steel tanks of different capacities; constructing floating bridges; manufacturing all types of hatch cover and doors and ramp for different ships and tug boat; manufacturing all types of HVAC system.

• Electrical workshop

  Motors & generators repair and maintenance section: do all necessary maintenance for Motors and Generators up to 1000 K.W.; clean motor and generator winding from carbons by using suitable chemicals; change all kinds of ball bearings; raise insulation inside.
