EIC Education (启德教育) is a Chinese education services brand focused on study-abroad planning and international education. According to its official website, Guangdong EIC Education Service Co., Ltd. was formally established in 2000, and in 2002 the company obtained qualification certification from China's Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Security and State Administration for Industry and Commerce. Its first branch, EIC Education Shenzhen, was set up the same year, and in 2003 the first EIC test-preparation campus opened in Guangzhou.   EIC Education Refunds Only Half When 60% of Course Remains, Accused of Unfair Standard Clause

  People's Daily Online reported a consumer complaint that EIC Education would refund only 50% of the remaining fee when 60% of a training course remained; lawyers said the standard clause was suspected of being an unfair term. Refund disputes continued in many places afterward, and the Guangzhou Liwan District Court ordered Guangdong EIC Education to refund 13,520 yuan plus interest. Status: media reports.
