Overview
Eleda Group is a Swedish infrastructure solutions group founded in 2017. It describes itself as a leading and fast-growing infrastructure solutions provider in the Nordics, delivering services in selected niches across the power distribution, technology, water and transportation industries. Rather than operating as a single integrated contractor, Eleda is a decentralized group that identifies, acquires and develops high-quality, local, market-leading companies that build and maintain critical infrastructure for society. The group's model combines strong local leadership with the benefits of a larger group. Local management teams retain a significant ownership share in their businesses after acquisition, while gaining access to central support in governance, financial control, project management, strategic development, acquisitions, succession planning and ESG. Eleda states that it has acquired more than 50 companies since inception, most of which were entrepreneur-owned. Acquisitions can be made directly by Eleda or as add-on acquisitions to one of its platform companies, with the aim of entering new geographic markets, adding new skills, or strengthening existing positions. Eleda operates in markets characterized by non-cyclical long-term growth driven by electrification, digitalization, urbanization and historic underinvestment in infrastructure. Its end markets include power distribution, technology, water and transportation. The group reported revenue of more than SEK 23 billion and an adjusted EBITA margin of 8.7% for 2025. It is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and operates across the Nordic region. Leadership includes President and CEO Ellinor Thiel, who joined in 2025 and also serves as Segment Head of Infrastructure Services; CFO Jens Lööw, employed since 2023; and Deputy CEO Klas-Urban Hilberth, employed since 2020. Eleda is privately held and is not listed on a public stock exchange.
History
Eleda Group was founded in 2017 as a Swedish infrastructure solutions group. From its inception, the company pursued a decentralized acquisition strategy, identifying and developing high-quality, local, market-leading companies that deliver infrastructure services to society. The group states that it has acquired more than 50 companies since inception, most of which were owned by entrepreneurs. The group's acquisition approach allows purchases to be made either directly by Eleda or as add-on acquisitions to one of its platform companies. This structure enables Eleda to enter new geographic markets, add new skills, or strengthen its position within existing geographies and areas of expertise. A key feature of the model is that acquired companies retain a large ownership share in their business after the acquisition, preserving entrepreneurial incentives while providing access to group-level support in governance, financial control, project management, strategic development, acquisitions, succession planning and ESG. Eleda operates in selected niches across the power distribution, technology, water and transportation industries. The group describes its end markets as characterized by non-cyclical long-term growth due to electrification, digitalization, urbanization and historic underinvestment. By 2025, Eleda reported revenue of more than SEK 23 billion and an adjusted EBITA margin of 8.7%. Leadership has evolved over time. Jens Lööw joined as CFO in 2023, bringing experience from Iver Management AB, Piab Management AB, Telia and Ericsson. Ellinor Thiel became President and CEO in 2025, having previously been an Operating Partner at Bain Capital and held positions at Axel Johnson AB and Bain & Company.
