Emco Group

The EMCO Group is an international holding company based in Lingen, Germany, that brings together strong brands under one roof. As a family-run company with more than 80 years of history, it serves the fields of architecture and worklife through its brands EMCO Bad, EMCO Bau and Novus Dahle, and markets its products in more than 100 countries. The group also offers contract manufacturing services in metal and plastic processing, toolmaking, electroplating, painting, powder coating and wood processing.

The company was founded in 1945 by Erwin Müller. In 1949 Novus staplers went into production, followed in 1952 by emco bathroom accessories and in 1960 by emco roll-up and swimming pool gratings. In 1968 Dipl.-Ing. Harald Müller joined the company, and in 1972 emco entered the air-conditioning sector with production set up in Werk II plant. Harald Müller took over responsibility for the group's management in 1977. In 1990 the product range and production spaces were extended, and in 1994 production started in France and the Czech Republic. Dahle Bürotechnik was taken over in 2002, and a majority shareholding in C/R/O/® followed in 2007. In 2008 emco novus Middle East was founded in Dubai and Christian Gnaß joined the management board of the Erwin Müller Group. In 2009 emco Novus International Ltd. was formed in Hongkong. In 2010 there was a full takeover of C/R/O/®, a second plant opened in China, and EFIA GmbH and emco electroroller GmbH were founded. Production began in Turkey in 2011. In 2012 a research and development centre was inaugurated in Werk I plant in Lingen and Novus Dahle GmbH & Co. KG merged. In 2013 the emco Elektroroller service centre was enlarged and the production sites in Dampierre, France and Chuzhou, China, were expanded. In 2014 the Erwin Müller Group Lingen became the emco Group. In 2015 a third plant opened in China and Christian Gnaß took over as chair of the management board. In 2017 Daniel Sarbandi joined the management board and Fraas Spiegel GmbH & Co. KG was taken over. In 2018 the business divisions of Kampmann Ltd. were taken over, Akzente was taken over, companies bad, bau und Novus Dahle were renamed, and Shenzhen Novus Dahle Culture Products Co. Ltd. was formed.
