Overview
Emil Frey is a Swiss family business with tradition in the automotive sector. It was founded in 1924 when Emil Frey opened his first workshop in Zurich. The company has grown into a widely branched corporate group in the automotive industry that today holds a leading position in Europe, while remaining a classic family business. Its services include vehicle sales, leasing and financing, brand workshops, bodywork, roadside assistance, tire changes, and used car exhibitions.
History
In 1924, Emil Frey opened his first workshop in Zurich. A trained mechanic, he quickly built an excellent reputation as an expert with prompt and conscientious service. He also broke new ground: not only because of his sporting spirit did the young garage owner successfully race motorcycles, but also to prove the quality of his products. This laid the foundation for a widely branched corporate group in the automotive industry that today holds a leading position in Europe. Despite its internationality, the Emil Frey Group has remained a classic family business. The founder's principles are still anchored in the company's culture. In a 1935 letter "To my esteemed customers," the automotive pioneer set out his company principles, promising to "sell only genuine quality goods at fair prices" and provide "prompt and conscientious" service through his "professionally trained staff." This "customer letter" remains the valid constitution of the Emil Frey Group and is given to every new employee.
