Overview

Endeavor Streaming is a digital video distribution and streaming technology company focused on sports and entertainment. It provides the technology, operational services, and commercial support needed to build and run direct-to-consumer and over-the-top video services. Its work spans live and on-demand distribution, streaming applications, subscription administration, monetization, analytics, content management, playback, security, localization, and audience growth. The business was established within Endeavor in January 2019, following Endeavor's acquisition of NeuLion. NeuLion had originated as a private technology company in 2004 and developed a substantial presence in sports and premium video streaming. Its history included a 2008 merger with JumpTV, acquisitions of Interactive Netcasting Systems and TransVideo International, the purchase of DivX in 2015, and the acquisition of Saffron Digital in 2016. These transactions expanded its capabilities in digital video, device integration, mobile distribution, and high-definition and 4K streaming. Endeavor agreed to acquire NeuLion for approximately US$250 million in March 2018, and the transaction closed in May of that year. NeuLion became a privately held Endeavor subsidiary, with its Toronto Stock Exchange listing ending after completion of the deal. Endeavor Streaming was subsequently created as Endeavor's direct-to-consumer streaming unit, combining the former NeuLion operation with Endeavor's other streaming products and services. The company has worked with professional sports leagues, broadcasters, networks, and entertainment properties. Clients and partners identified in reference material include the NFL, NBA, UFC, Univision, Sky Sports, Sky in New Zealand, the EFL, Big Ten Network, WWE, and TNA. Its assignments have included both the technical construction of streaming services and the ongoing front-end and back-end operation of those services. In January 2024, it began distributing the subscription service TNA+. Endeavor Streaming's principal technology offering is the Vesper Platform, an end-to-end OTT platform designed for premium live and on-demand video. Vesper supports applications for web, iOS, Android, and connected television devices. Its capabilities include subscription and subscriber management, monetization, analytics and data aggregation, machine-learning applications, playback controls, stream security, content localization, cross-device bookmarking, and tools intended to improve discovery and viewer engagement. The company also expanded into live shopping and channel creation and distribution for free ad-supported streaming television environments, including services such as The Roku Channel and Samsung TV Plus. Beyond software, Endeavor Streaming provides consulting and growth services for OTT and direct-to-consumer businesses. These services address issues such as pricing, marketing, subscriber acquisition, churn, scaling, predictive analysis, and commercial planning. The company expanded its international OTT work during 2021 and 2022, launching or supporting platforms for networks and sports organizations in Europe, Japan, and the Philippines. In 2025, Deltatre acquired Endeavor Streaming. The transaction moved the business into Deltatre's broader digital and OTT portfolio and was presented as a way to combine Endeavor Streaming's direct-to-consumer capabilities with Deltatre's sports technology and international reach. The Endeavor Streaming name and its technology capabilities therefore represent the continuation of a business whose operational roots extend back to NeuLion, while its ownership has shifted from Endeavor Group to Deltatre.

History

Endeavor Streaming's immediate corporate history begins in 2019, but its technological and operational roots lie in NeuLion, a digital video company founded in 2004. NeuLion was established as a private company headquartered in Plainview, New York, with Charles Wang and Nancy Li among its co-founders. It merged with JumpTV in 2008; the combined public company adopted the NeuLion name in 2009 and continued trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. NeuLion subsequently acquired Interactive Netcasting Systems in 2009 and TransVideo International in 2010. During the mid-2010s, NeuLion built a customer base in sports and premium video that included the NFL, Sky in New Zealand, and the English Football League. The company also faced increasing competition in the sports-streaming market. One notable client change was the loss of the NHL account after the league moved its streaming contract to BAMTech. NeuLion acquired DivX in 2015. The transaction brought DivX's 4K Ultra HD technology into NeuLion and added technology relationships involving devices from manufacturers such as LG, Samsung, and Sony. Kanaan Jemili, formerly DivX's chief executive, became NeuLion's chief executive. In 2016, NeuLion partnered with the NBA, UFC, and Univision on trials involving 4K sports streams. Its broadcast of UFC 205 that year was described as the first global pay-per-view event livestreamed in 4K. NeuLion also acquired Saffron Digital in 2016, and Roy Reichbach became president and chief executive officer. Endeavor agreed in March 2018 to acquire NeuLion for approximately US$250 million. The transaction closed in May 2018, after which NeuLion became a privately held subsidiary and its common stock was delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange. Reference material indicates that the business retained approximately 550 employees at the time of the transaction, including about 125 employees at its Long Island headquarters. In January 2019, Endeavor organized its streaming activities under the Endeavor Streaming name. The new division combined Endeavor's existing video products and services with the NeuLion operation. It was positioned as a direct-to-consumer streaming unit capable of handling both front-end consumer experiences and back-end operational functions for sports leagues and media companies. Existing NeuLion relationships continued, including work involving Univision, Sky Sports, the NFL, NBA, UFC, and Big Ten Network. WWE was identified as a new client after the division's formation. Endeavor Streaming broadened its service model beyond basic video delivery. It developed customized streaming applications for web, mobile, and connected television devices and offered tools for subscriptions, monetization, analytics, data aggregation, playback, security, localization, and cross-device viewing. Its Vesper Platform became the main expression of this end-to-end technology approach. The company also added live-shopping functionality and created tools for channel customization and distribution through free ad-supported streaming television services. In November 2020, Endeavor appointed Fred Santarpia to run Endeavor Streaming, with responsibility for global expansion. During 2021 and 2022, the business launched or supported OTT platforms for networks and sports organizations in Europe, Japan, and the Philippines. It also developed consulting, predictive analysis, and growth services addressing issues such as churn, pricing, marketing, and the scaling of direct-to-consumer businesses. In January 2024, Endeavor Streaming began distributing TNA+, the subscription service of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Deltatre acquired Endeavor Streaming in 2025. The acquisition marked a change in ownership and brought Endeavor Streaming into Deltatre's digital and OTT portfolio. It also extended Deltatre's capabilities in direct-to-consumer streaming, premium live video, platform operations, and international market coverage.
