Overview

ENO (Eagles Nest Outfitters) is an outdoor brand that began in 1999 when the Pinholster brothers sold hammocks from a van at music festivals and community gatherings, first in Florida and then across the southeastern United States. The brand designs and patented the first knotless hammock straps and has grown from hammocks into hammock accessories such as bug nets, insulation and rain tarps, ultralight camping gear, hammock-inspired camp chairs, outdoor blankets, and hammock stands and hanging kits for indoor or outdoor use. Its headquarters is in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, and its product line includes the DoubleNest, SingleNest, TravelNest, SuperSub, JungleNest, and DoubleLoft hammocks, Atlas, Helios, and Apollo straps, and Parklite, Nomad, Parkway, and SoloPod stands.

History

ENO (Eagles Nest Outfitters) began in 1999, when the Pinholster brothers set off in a van full of hammocks and sold them at music festivals and community gatherings, first in their home state of Florida and then throughout the southeastern United States, with the van serving as a storefront by day and sleeping quarters by night. The founders based the first product line around an easy-to-pack, adventure-ready hammock. Over time ENO designed and patented the first knotless hammock straps. Over the past 25 years, ENO grew from a small operation selling hammocks out of a minivan at community gatherings and festivals into a global brand with a team of 16 and a headquarters in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Its product line expanded from hammocks to hammock accessories such as bug nets, insulation and rain tarps, ultralight camping gear, hammock-inspired camp chairs, outdoor blankets, and hammock stands and hanging kits for indoors or outside.
