Erewhon

Erewhon is an organic grocery store and wellness brand. Its official site states it has been 'raising the standards since 1968' and now ships organic groceries, wellness essentials and smoothies nationwide across the US. The company describes itself as more than a grocery store, providing organic, ethically sourced foods while building a community rooted in wellness, connection and purpose. It is a certified organic retailer and B-Corp, and its own-brand range spans wellness supplements, personal care and beauty, home goods, accessories and smoothie kits.

In the 1960s, Aveline and Michio Kushi opened a small natural foods market in Boston, inspired by their belief that what we eat shapes who we are. Named Erewhon after one of their favorite books, it became the first natural foods store in the country. Soon, Erewhon moved to Los Angeles, sourcing organic products that were nearly impossible to find. The vision was simple yet ambitious: by filling our bodies with the best the earth has to offer, we can become our best selves. Over fifty years later, that idea still stands. The company states it has been 'raising the standards since 1968' and now ships organic groceries, wellness essentials and smoothies nationwide across the US. As a certified organic retailer and B-Corp, it says its mission extends beyond sourcing pure, organic products, and it is committed to fighting food insecurity, reducing waste, and uplifting communities in Los Angeles, the city it calls home.
