Overview
Euro engineering (euro engineering AG) was a German engineering services provider founded in 1994 in Ulm by Joachim Lang and Winfried Keppler. It grew into one of Germany's larger independent engineering development service firms, offering services aligned with the typical engineering process chain — from concept and development through design, calculation and testing to project management and documentation. Its sector focus included mechanical and plant engineering, automotive and electrical engineering, construction, precision engineering and process engineering, as well as hardware and software development, with cross-regional specialist units in aerospace, automation and robotics, rail technology, chemical plant engineering and commercial vehicles. In 1999 the company was acquired by DIS Deutscher Industrie Service, a subsidiary of the Adecco Group. In 2002 the engineering activities of DIS AG and euro engineering GmbH were bundled under euro engineering AG. In 2004 the engineering group was expanded with encad Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. Together with its sister company euro engineering Aerospace, the AG operated a nationwide network of more than 40 branches and employed around 2,100 people. In fiscal year 2009 it generated annual revenue of roughly EUR 111 million, rising to around EUR 137 million in 2011. In 2018 euro engineering AG was merged with MODIS IT, Personality IT and DIS Interim, and with the IT and Life Sciences divisions of DIS AG, to form the new Modis GmbH. The Euro engineering brand therefore no longer operates as an independent entity; its legacy is carried within the Adecco Group's technology and engineering brand portfolio, which today includes Adecco, Akkodis and LHH.
