Fat Head's Brewery

Fat Head's Brewery traces its origins to 1992, when Glenn and Michelle Benigni opened a craft beer-centric restaurant in Pittsburgh. In 2009 the Benignis partnered with master brewer Matt Cole to open the flagship Fat Head's brewpub in North Olmsted, Ohio, and in 2012 a first production brewery followed. The brand is known for award-winning hoppy IPA varietals, fruited ales, and time-honored German brewing techniques, and its beverages are sold through restaurant and grocery availability. Under the Fat Head's Beverages umbrella, the company operates three brewing companies: Fat Head's Brewery, Excursion Brewing Company (non-alcoholic beers), and Buckeye Brewing Company (light beer).

In 1992, Glenn and Michelle Benigni opened a craft beer-centric restaurant in Pittsburgh, which became recognized as one of the earliest purveyors of American and international craft beers. Master brewer Matt Cole was creating and brewing award-winning beers that helped put Cleveland on the map as a craft brew epicenter. In 2009, the two parties came together to open the flagship Fat Head's brewpub in North Olmsted, Ohio. Fat Head's IPAs soon won awards and recognition at major beer competitions, and in 2012 their first production brewery allowed Midwest craft beer drinkers to stock their fridges with these brews. Bumble Berry Honey Blueberry Ale also became popular, reaching both restaurant and grocery availability.
