It expanded over the following decades to provide property coverage for equipment dealers, auto dealers, petroleum marketers, and contractors throughout the Midwest, and by mid-century became among the nation's first multiline insurance companies with its expansion into liability coverage. It later added life insurance, workers compensation coverage, group health insurance (which it no longer offers), and estate planning services through an independent network of attorneys.
