Femco is a brand specialising in oil drain plugs and oil drainage systems. According to its official website, it is the home of the original oil drain valve since 1983, and its oil drain plugs and hoses are designed to make fluid draining fast and mess-free. The brand states it has over 40 years of specialist expertise in the development and manufacturing of high-quality oil drain plugs and oil drainage systems, and describes itself as worldwide market leader in the field of oil drain systems. Its product categories include Standard Oil Drain Plug, Compact Oil Drain Plug, Click Drain Oil Drain Plug, Drainers/Accessories, Non-Drip Oil Drain Plug, Color Coded Non-Drip Plug, and XL Oil Drain Plug.

In the early 1980s Poul van Santen, a local car salesman from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, was frustrated with the poor quality of the traditional drain plug and set out to re-design automotive oil drain plugs. Together with his family he invented the Femco oil drain plug. Within about a year Poul had designed the first single-piece drain plug made from brass, with an improved valve and body. When he decided to go into manufacture in 1983 he had only a single design, the Standard, but no name or brand for the product. Sitting with his wife they decided to name the company after their first-born daughter named Femke, slightly modifying the name to Femco. As the company grew commercially, Poul moved manufacture to the centre of Rotterdam and increased the range of products to include the now known Compact and Click Drain. The business steadily grew with sales both locally and internationally with worldwide exports through a network of dealers and distributors. Poul van Santen passed in November 2000; his wife, daughters and his good friend Dick de Weerd took over the company. In 2009 Simeco and Femco merged and were bought by Femco Draintechnology BV. Around the same time production moved to Amsterdam to a local company in Mijdrecht that specialised in longitudinal lathing, Enev Holdings. This collaboration led to the development of new products and made it possible to make every plug size.
