Mijia drone 4K edition recalled over high-altitude fall risk, 4,000 units
Some Mi-brand WR JTZ02FM drone 4K edition sets produced by Beijing FIMI Technology from February 8 to 18, 2017, may lose power and fall during extreme high-altitude flight due to improper matching settings of flight control system software parameters, posing a risk of injury. FIMI filed a recall of 4,000 units with the State Administration for Market Regulation and will force-upgrade the flight control via the app to version 1063 or above to eliminate the hazard.

Handheld gimbal camera found to infringe DJI design patent
DJI sued Feimi's "PALM Gimbal Camera" handheld gimbal camera for infringing its "gimbal camera" design patent. The Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court issued a "preliminary judgment + temporary injunction." It ordered Feimi to stop manufacturing, selling, and offering to sell the infringing product and to destroy the infringing products and dedicated molds; the damages portion is to be heard separately. The case was selected as one of China's top ten patent cases of 2020.
