History

Flat Rock Cellars is a winery in Jordan Station, Lincoln, Ontario. Its president, Ed Madronich, states that the winery exists for two reasons: to make great wine and to offer a personal wine experience. The winery describes an infectious sense of fun and lack of pretension, and offers a tasting bar and wine education programs. It produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and sparkling wines grown on the Twenty Mile Bench, and states it is one of only 12 Ontario Certified wineries for sustainable winemaking. The Shawn & Ed Brewing Company is described as the newest addition to the family; its story began more than 25 years ago at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where Shawn Till and Ed Madronich shared a dream to open a brewery, which they later pursued after a summer 2013 cottage gathering, locating the brewery in the old Dundas Curling and Skating Rink.
