Overview

Florajet is a French flower delivery company and shop. Founded in 1992 in the Luberon by florist Philippe Lefrancq, it developed a new fax-based model for ordering and selling flowers. The company operates a network of partner florists across France and centralizes orders at its telephone platform in Cabrières d'Aigues, where its head office is also located.

History

Florajet began in 1992 in the heart of the Luberon, when Philippe Lefrancq, a passionate florist, decided to revolutionize flower sending. At a time when floral transmission networks were archaic and time-consuming for florists, he designed and deployed a new model for ordering and selling flowers based on fax, in order to speed up order taking and flower deliveries. The young manager then set out to win over florists one by one to develop his network. It grew from 0 to 200 partners in one year, reaching 1,800 florists in 1998 and 4,500 today. Florajet is now the leading florist network in France by number of points of sale. All orders placed on the Florajet site, transmitted by its members or taken by its telephone advisors, are centralized at its telephone platform in France, in Cabrières d'Aigues. The company's head office is in Cabrières d'Aigues, a small commune in the Vaucluse with 850 inhabitants, at the foot of the Luberon. Although it plays a leading role in online flower sales, Florajet has remained a human-sized company whose share capital is entirely held by its founder and which promotes local employment.
